Jonathan Anthony Burkett
Entrepreneur, author, poet and music artist.
Jonathan Anthony Burkett was born in Miami, Florida in 1987 and raised in Jamaica by his grandparents. From childhood he faced economic hardship and serious health challenges, including brain surgery in January 2006, and he refused to let them define him.
He found his voice in reading and writing and became a published author. His memoir, Neglected But Undefeated, tells his own story, and his fiction includes the Friends 2 Lovers series and Fighting To Become Champions. Readers on Goodreads have collected many of his lines on faith, forgiveness, friendship and love.
As a music artist he records inspirational hip hop and soul on his own label, Upstormed Records. His signature song, One Life, recorded with reggae artist Ambelique, is a reminder that you only get one life, so make it count.
As an entrepreneur he founded Upstormed LLC and the Upstormed family of online stores, starting with upstormed.com.
His message runs through all of it: whatever you have been through, keep going.
